The LG Optimus 2X Is An Extremely Versatile Handset

The LG Optimus 2X is one of the latest premium Android smartphones from the increasingly prolific manufacturer. Amongst its key features is an 8 mega-pixel digital camera, dual-core processor, super fast Internet browsing and an advanced touchscreen plus much, much more.

In order to provide the initial means of Internet connectivity as well as staying connected to the appropriate cellular networks both EDGE & GPRS are called upon in areas with little or no 3G coverage. When 3G is available, HSDPA connection provides fast download speeds of up to 10.2 mega bytes per second, meaning web pages load almost instantly. To enhance the Internet connections further, users also have the option to utilise the Wi-Fi connectivity whenever they have the appropriate access to local wireless networks. To finish off the package of connectivity features, micro USB, Bluetooth, GPS and DLNA are all included right out of the box.
As a camera phone, the LG Optimus 2X really excels boasting an 8 mega-pixel digital camera with auto-focus, touch-focus, image stabilisation and face & smile detection. An LED flash is also provided as standard overcoming the obstacle of low lighting conditions. Whilst many new cameraphones can film high definition footage in 720p quality, the LG Optimus 2X goes one better, boasting 1080p video capture. There is an additional 1.3 MP camera located on the front of the handset allowing users to carry out video calls and take self portrait photos.
Android Froyo (v2.2) is the operating system of choice, and this works in harmony with a dual-core 1 GHz processor which results in a super fast interface speeds and the power to run demanding applications with ease. Numerous apps are included as standard, and users also have access to the Android Market, where they can browse over 100,000 apps from many different categories which can be downloaded straight to the phone.
